It's that time of the year again, it's the Steam Summer SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

That's right, the Summer Sale launched last night and is currently offering massive deals on a daily basis.  New deals will be launched everyday until 22 July and most titles have between 50% and 75% off.  You also have the 'Flash Deals' that rotate roughly every eight hours and a Community Choice Deal, where Steam Users have voted for which game they would like to see go on offer.

Current highlights include The Shogun 2 Bundle which includes the orginal game and both expansions for $19.99 (or £19.99, yes we're getting the raw end again UK, the US enjoys 71% off, we get 67% off but meh at these savings I can live with it to be honest), Portal 2, the Bethesda Collection and the Square Enix/Eidos Collection.

Valve have also launched a badge system which appears to work like achievements... for using Steam.  How meta is that shit o_0

As you can see from the screenshots, they also appear to track previous events such as past Steam Summer Sales and The Potato Sack event for Portal 2.  No word yet on if there are any rewards associated with the badges.
