It looks like 2012 is going to be a good year to be a mecha fan with no less than four titles expected to be released this year; Mechwarrior Online, Mechwarrior Tactics, Reign of Thunder and the indie title Hawken.  Hawken looks like it could be a surprise hit; after having received a stunning $10 million from Meteor Entertainment (backers of League of Legends), Adhesive Games have been out to prove that they're putting the money to good use.  This is probably a less than good use, but it's still awesome; Hawken's Live Action Trailer.

Saints Row the Third is currently 66% off on Steam until 10am Pacific Time, along with 66% off the Season DLC pass and 66% off the Worms Reloaded series.  So if you have a hankering for unmitigated mayhem and beating people with a giant purple phallus then get on Steam before you miss it.

Just what is Artemis?  That's the question being asked on the Mechwarrior Online Forums at the moment after a link to a countdown was found in Piranha Game's latest monthly look ahead for June.  For those who don't know their Battletech lore, the Artemis is a mech fire control system which improves missile accuracy but the introduction of the Artemis into MWO hardly seems news enough to warrant a whole countdown/guessing game seen here.  Forum go'ers have theorised everything from the announcement of a new mech to an effort to promote the Founders packages which will go on sale on 19th June.  The sign up underneath is for the news letter, which although has some interesting insights, tells us nothing about Artemis.  One thing is for sure, the image is giving nothing away just yet so I guess we'll find out in three days.

Bethesda has released their trailer for Skyrim's first proper expansion, and holy good fuck it looks amazing.  The premise is very clearly about a conflict between vampires, with an almost Buffy like big bad voicing his plans to blot out the sun, and the noble knightly order of the Dawnguard.  It looks like you'll be able to favour either faction in your quest to complete the expansion, which is pretty standard with Bethesda Games and we've come to expect nothing less from them.  Still, the castles, crossbows (yes crossbows) and monsters look exciting - just makes me wish I had more time to actually play all these awesome games lol.
