Sorry for the slow reply, being at home has actually given me less time rather than more as I end up getting all those DIY jobs done and spending time with the kids, the toils of a busy mage. Unfortunately any method of greater communication also opens the door to greater trolling - when this becomes excessively persistent or just appears to be an effort become the centre of attention it can become very tiring very quickly. I honestly don't think you were too harsh, you sent a very deliberate message (a slap on the wrists if you will) and this person seems to have learnt their lesson. Let's face it, we've all had that person who insists on trying to talk to you when you clearly say "I'm being spanked by Professor Putricide right now dude, not a good time" and it can be bloody annoying no matter how innocent it may be. Turn that into raid wide broadcasts from a former guildie during Mr Sleepy Dragon and I can only imagine your frustration. I think it was probably a very measured response :)

We explored RealID in our own personal little way as a guild. One of the people who had defected back to Horde constantly posts bad jokes. No reply, add a space and re-post etc etc. Simply put this alone was worst than trade on the alliance side, at least at that time. So our entire ICC raid dropped what we were all doing ( mid dreamwalker ) posed "TOO FAR!" in RealID and removed him. This may seem harsh but he certainly learnt a message about spamming via it and has not done since. You really have to go that little step further sometimes in order to stop the spam. /Gothmara
